Introduction

“Automatic In-Stock Status Update” extension enhances the customer’s experience and makes your store more user-friendly! It changes the ‘Stock Availability’ to ‘In Stock’ when the quantity field is greater than zero and automatically changes it to ‘Out of Stock’ when the quantity is zero. It also works, when a product is returned to stock. It would provide a way to set it back to ‘In Stock’ when you set the quantity greater than zero.

In default  in Magento 1.0.x versions this functionality is not available that is when any product’s quantity is zero and the quantity is increased the stock status doesn’t get updated automatically i.e if the quantity of any product is zero its stock status will be “Out of Stock” but if the quantity is increased the stock status will still remain “Out of Stock” till the admin manually change the stock status to ‘In Stock” and saves the configuration settings.

This plays an important role in any product configuration settings as if the stock status of the product doesn’t get updated as and when its quantity is increased then the product will not get displayed at the front-end which will, in turn, lead to dissatisfaction of website visitors.

Automatic In-Stock Status Update extension helps the admin by changing the ‘Stock Availability’ field’s value each time you save the product or return a product to stock. Additionally, it automatically changes to ‘In Stock’ or ‘Out of Stock’ according to the product’s quantity. Henceforth it is very useful and enhances the customer’s experience.
