Backend Settings of the Extension

Manage Sliders
On Magento admin panel, navigate to Banner Slider > Manage Sliders.

On this page, the list of all existing sliders on the site, including title, position, slider mode, and status will be available. Also, by using filters and export to CSV/XML/Excel files by clicking on the Export button you can search for the desired slider.

Adding New Slider
Click on Add New Slider button in order to add a new slider for the website.

Slider Information
In Slider Information tab, the following details have to be filled in.

  • Title – Mention the title of the slider.
  • Show Title – Choose ‘Enable or Disabled’ to show the title of the slider in the frontend.
  • Slider Status – Select ‘Enabled or Disabled’ to show the title in the frontend.
  • Select Available Slider Styles – If “Yes” is selected you can use one among available sliders that our extension provides. In contrast, if you select “No”, you can add code to customize the slider as you want.
  • Select Slider Mode – Our extension supports four modes of the slider – pop-up, note ( Special Slider), unresponsive and responsive slider. If ‘Yes’ is selected in select available slider styles then these will be available to choose from the option.
  • Pop Up Slider – If “Pop up on Home page” is selected the slider will be shown in the pop-up form on the Home page only. If you don’t want to use the default values of width and height, you can edit them to fit with your site.
  • Note Slider – If “Note displayed on all pages” is selected, the slider will be shown as a note on all pages. You can click on the Preview link to see how it will be shown in frontend. After that, you can configure such items as Sort type of banners, Color of the slider, Speed (the display time of a banner), Position of slider and Note’s Content shown on the slider as follows:

Unresponsive Slider –  This slider mode does not auto-adjust the width and height of the slider, which means you will be able to configure those values as you want. There are also 4 unresponsive sliders for you to choose.

  • Responsive Slider –  As it is named, with this slider mode, the values of slider’ width and height can be auto-adjusted to fit with the position you choose to show it. Our extension provides four styles of a responsive slider. You can see how it will be shown in frontend by clicking on the Preview link. Then you can configure other items such as Sort type of banners on the slider, Animation Effect, Speed and Position of the slider.

Also, you can hover on the Preview Position text below the Position Listing box to see the position in frontend more clearly.

Banner of Slider
In this tab, the list of banners with information including ID, name, current slider and the effective date is available. You can also search for the desired banner by using filter boxes. Besides, right on this tab, you can create a new banner to the slider by clicking on the Create Banner button. Our module will then show another window like this:

During adding a banner on the popup window, you have to save and close that window before you come back to edit slider. One thing to note is that one banner can only be shown on one slider. So if you create two sliders and select the same banner for both, that banner will be shown only on the later slider.

Edit Slider
On the Slider Manager page, to edit a slider, you can click on the Edit link at the end of that slider’s row. The following page will be shown:

After editing, remember to click on the Save Slider or Save and Continue Edit button to save your work.

Manage Banners
On Magento admin panel, navigate to Banner Slider > Manage Banners.

On this page, the list of all banners on your site with different information including name, URL link, current slider, effective date, status, and image. You can search for the desired slider by using filters or export to CSV/XML/Excel file by clicking on the Export button.

Adding a New Banner
Click on Add New Banner button in order to add a new slider for the website.

  • Name – Mention the name of the banner
  • Status – Choose ‘Enabled or Disabled’ to show the slider on the frontend.
  • Slider – This tab will provide the list of sliders created at the slider section. Choose the desired slider to associated with the banner.
  • Alt Text – Mention Alt text used for SEO.
  • Caption – Mention the Caption that has to be given to the banner created.
  • URL – Mention the URL of the banner
  • Type – Select type either image or video.
  • Banner Image – Choose file (image and video) for the banner
  • Starting Time – Select the start time for the banner to appear on the frontend of the website.
  • Ending Time – Mention the ending time of the banner on which it will be removed from the frontend.
  • Target –  Choose target of the banner from the options provided. The extension by default provides these target to be selected.

After editing, remember to click on the Save Banner to save your work.

Preview Slider Styles
On Magento admin panel, navigate to Banner Slider > Preview Slider Styles.

On this page, the preview of all available slider styles that our module provides can be viewed by clicking on the Preview link at the end of each row. Our module will show a new window for you to view the style of that slider just as when it is shown on frontend. For example, if you select the ” Evolution Default”, you can view it as below:

Reports
The extension allows you to view the numbers of clicks and impressions of banners in 2 ways: clicks/impressions of a banner on a slider only (Per Slider) and of a banner on all sliders (All Sliders). Now, let’s go into details about each.

Reports Per Slider
On Magento admin panel, navigate to Banner Slider > Reports Per Slider.

On this page, clicks and impressions of banners are calculated based only on the sliders on which they are shown. This will help you to know on which slider a banner can bring most clicks/impressions to your site.

Reports All Sliders
On Magento admin panel, navigate to Banner Slider > Reports All Sliders.

On this page, clicks and impressions of banners are calculated based on all sliders on which they are shown. You can view the name, URL link, total number of clicks/impressions and image of each banner.

Settings
In the Settings tab, the extension allows you to enable or disable the module on your site and provide you with the implementation code section to customize your sliders.

After finishing your configuration, remember to click on Save Config button to save your work.
